The close relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Turkey in sports continue to be strengthened as the Turkey Government through Yunus Emre Institute contributed archery equipment to the country. The presentation ceremony for Ar-Rafi Archery Academy was held yesterday morning at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Kampung Manggis.
The contribution was presented by His Excellency Professor Doctor Hamit Ersoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Brunei Darussalam to Ar-Rafi Archery Academy Chairman, Pengiran Haji Radno Pengiran Haji Mohd Tahir. Apart from archery equipment, several books on introduction and basic techniques as well as the history on traditional Turkish archery were also contributed.
