4,220 New Cases; 2,701 Cases Recovered

6 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, while 7 cases are in Category 5. Meanwhile, 2 cases have passed away. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy of stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation. The media conference was held yesterday AFTERNOON at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

4,220 new cases were reported yesterday, taking total cases to 67,762. Of the new cases, 3,614 were from ART results uploaded to the Ministry of Health’s portal, while 606 were from 4,016 RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours. 2,701 cases have recovered, bringing total recovered cases to 36,213 with 31,422 cases remaining active. At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 10.8 percent whereby 255 active cases are placed in isolation centres and 31,167 positive cases are undergoing home self-isolation.
