81.1% of Total Population Receive 1st Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine, 56.7% of Total Population Receive 2nd Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine, 12 Violations Imposed With Compound Fines

 

 

The Minister of Health also shared that on the 24th of October 2021, 632 individuals have received the COVID-19 vaccine injection.

 

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 348,782 individuals have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is 81.1 per cent of the total population. 243,831 individuals have completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, which is 56.7 per cent from the total population. Meanwhile taking into account that the number of public attendances at vaccination centres throughout the country is declining, the Ministry of Health will open up the administration of first dose of COVID-19 vaccine via walk-in commencing tomorrow, Tuesday the 26th of October 2021.

 

In providing a clearer picture of the location of positive cases detected in the county, the Ministry of Health shared some of the results of the research that has been carried out in which between the 17th until the 23rd October 2021, there are six mukims with more than 80 positive cases. The respective mukims are Mukim Sengkurong with 215 cases; Mukim Berakas ‘A’  with 196 cases; 98 cases in Mukim Kota Batu; Mukim Gadong ‘B’  82 cases;  81 cases in Mukim Kilanas and Mukim Kuala Belait 133 cases. Meanwhile the multi-agencies enforcement monitoring carried out last night during the out-of-house restriction directive from 8 in the evening until 4 in the morning, saw 12 violations of the directive nationwide were issued compound fines.
