The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications as well as the departments under it and the authorities, late yesterday afternoon held a mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer followed by a reading of Surah Yassin, Tahlil and Doa Kesyukuran as well as mass Fardu Isya’ prayer in conjunction with Road Traffic Victims Remembrance Day and International Civil Aviation Day 2019. The ceremony was organised by the National Road Safety Council and Department of Civil Aviation.
In the Brunei Muara District, the function was held at Ash Shaliheen Mosque, Prime Minister’s Office. Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib Bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. Also present were the Permanent Secretary and Deputy as well as the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry.
A similar ceremony was also held in the Belait District, focused at the Pekan Seria Mosque in Kuala Belait. Present were Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin and Yang Berhormat Hanapi bin Mohd Siput, member of the Legislative Council. Also present was Awang Ramlee bin Haji Jamudin, Belait District Officer.
In the Tutong District, the function was held at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town. Present was Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Tutong District Officer as the Chairman of the Tutong District Road Safety Council. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, member of the Legislative Council.
Meanwhile, the Temburong District also held such a ceremony at Mohammad Salleh Main Mosque in Bangar Town. Present was Awang Abdul Ghani bin Haji Othman, Acting Temburong District Officer.
