Youths have a special status or position beside Allah Subahanahu Wata’ala. Hence, they should spend their young age in performing acts of worship and other good deeds in the name of Islam. The matter was highlighted in the special Tazkirah titled, ‘Belia Sihat dan Penyayang Tanpa Gejala Sosial’ or Healthy and Loving Youth Without Negative Social Symptoms’. The tazkirah or talk was presented on 3rd September night during the Nationwide Mosque Youth Qiamullail Programme. Qiamullail means the Night Vigil.
Presented by Pengiran Haji Muhammad Faris Ramadani bin Pengiran Haji Selahudin, an invited speaker, the tazkirah stressed that youths should use their young age in doing beneficial things as well as performing acts and deeds ordained by Allah Subahanahu Wata’ala. This is because during youth, the young people are more energetic and positive thinking. If this is used in performing religious and other good deeds, the youths will be blessed and rewarded as well as being protected by Allah Subahanahu Wata’ala in the Hereafter.
The programme which took place at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Bolkiah was participated by 40 mosque youths from throughout the country. The activities included tazkirah, Question and Answer Quiz and Tadarus Al-Quran. According to the Head of Youth Unit, Imarah Section of the Mosque Affairs Department, the programme also intended to give the youth the opportunity to spend more time at the mosque and avoid bad elements.
The previous Qiamullail Programme was organised by Kampung Penanjong Mosque in Tutong District. The programme will be continued in the near future at Kampung Belais Mosque in Temburong and Pekan Seria Mosque in the Belait District.
