The Royal Brunei Navy, TLDB's responsibility in maintaining the peace, well-being and maritime sovereignty of Brunei Darussalam is vital. The Commander of the TLDB emphasized the matter during the Parade Ceremony for the TLDB's 57th Anniversary Celebration, yesterday afternoon. First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Haji Seruji also reminded all levels of leadership to adhere to strong leadership values and to lead by example.
The parade was led by Lieutenant Commander Mohammad Hasmin bin Haji Hashim, TLDB. The parade continued with the presentation of awards and certificates to TLDB officers and personnel for their achievements and professionalism in their careers. A series of events also have been conducted in conjunction with TLDB's 57th Anniversary such as cleaning campaigns at muslim cemeteries, donations to former TLDB personnel, and religious ceremonies.
