Following the postponement on sending off the haj pilgrims for this year’s haj season, the Darusslam Holdings Sendirian Berhad Management are taking several preventive measures, taking into account the COVID-19 infection pandemic situation.
Specifically for recipients of government 12 year service fares, pensions fare, widows fare, BSP fares, R-B fares and the like, are to refer back to their respective departments and to the Haj Affairs Department. In an interview with RTB, the head of Haj and Umrah Department, Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad shared on the return and refund process of the haj package to the pilgrims. The amount to be repaid is in full without any service charge.
According to Pengiran Haji Ibrahim Bin Pengiran Haji Bakar, payment will be made through money transfer to the intending pilgrims account respectively either at the Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei TAIB or Bank Islam Brunei Berhad BIBD. The refund process will be implemented in phases and are expected to take two to three weeks, subjected to the process at the DHSB Company, TAIB and BIBD. At the same time, passports and related documents will be returned to the intending haj pilgrims. Should they wished to continue their haj pilgrimage next year or postpone them for certain reasons, they may contact the Haj Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs for further action.
