Following the start of the Early Endemic Phase for Brunei Darussalam, all Mosques, Suraus and Religious Halls throughout the country late this afternoon held Sunnat Hajjat Prayers and reading of Surah Yassin as well as supplications to Allah Subahanahu Wataala so that citizens, residents and the country will be safe and protected from disasters as well as all kinds of diseases especially the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital, the ceremony began with the mass fardu Maghrib prayer, led by Awang Haji Hamdini bin Garip, Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque Affairs Officer who then led the Sunnat Hajat Prayer and reading of Surah Yaasin. Present was Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
