Early Endemic Phase Commences

The Early Endemic Phase under the National COVID-19 Recovery Plan Framework commenced yesterday. As citizens and residents in the country, we must always work together and be vigilant in complying with the policies, laws and guidelines set to jointly control the COVID-19 pandemic and familiarize ourselves with the new normal. A willingness to carry on with life during an endemic needs to be faced with patience to enable the country to continue to recover and get out of a pandemic situation.

 

Guidelines for the Early Endemic Phase for a month have been announced with stakeholders making logistical preparations prior to the beginning of the prescribed recoveries, in particular to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs and guidelines agreed by the COVID-19 Steering Committee. The implementation of the Early Endemic Phase is by adhering to the teachings of Islam apart from efforts and wholeheartedly belief which is the key to the country’s success in achieving what is desired.

 

Meanwhile, during the endemic phase, the movement restrictions implemented during the ‘Operasi Peralihan’ which is the directive to stay at home from 10 at night to 4 in the morning is extended until the 14th of January 2022. The public is reminded not to be complacent and must continue implementing physical distancing, ensuring capacity limits are adhered to, wearing face masks, maintain hygiene, and use the BruHealth app on a mandatory basis. The use of the ART kit is encouraged before entering premises.
