Islam is the bringer of change in the form of prosperity in the Malay World. Islam is also the global catalyst, shining throughout the world and the Malay world is a part of it.
The State Mufti in his keynote address at the Opening Ceremony of the 6th International Conference on Islam in the Malay World, explained that because of Islam, the Malay World has been able to emerge as a glorious and successful civilisation, building governments, implementing laws, propagating education and activating economies.
Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned said before the coming of Islam, the Malay world was shrouded in darkness and poverty, without prosperity and blessings. Only Islam, Yang Berhormat Pehin said, is able to shine throughout all as it is a source of blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wataala. The State Mufti added, it is an obligation for the Malay world and its race to be grateful to Allah SWT for being blessed by Allah with Islam which is a very valuable and prominent reward. The reward of Islam and the reward of Faith. The Malay world certainly possesses the great and strong natural characteristics of its ummah who are numerous and linked by one language which is the Malay Language. These characteristics can help the race to broaden its power and influence but with the condition of them being united.
