MANILA - The Department of Migrant Workers has verified the presence of four Filipino crew members aboard the MSC Aries, a container ship recently seized by Iranian forces near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Philippines News Agency, the department following directives from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., is actively coordinating with various agencies to secure the crew's safety and facilitate their release. The ship, associated with Israeli interests, was captured amid escalating tensions following an attack on an Iranian diplomatic site in Syria, intensifying regional security concerns.
