Four Brunei small and medium enterprises, SME's were among the ASEAN businesses to win the ASEAN Business Awards, A.B.A last week in Bangkok, Thailand as part of the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit, A.B.I.S 2019. This year, 81 businesses from the regional bloc receiving awards in 11 categories.

Nextacloud Technologies won the Most Promising Digitalized MSME, while Memori MY Sendirian Berhad (Memori) secured the Startup and Innovation Driven Entrepreneur, I.D.E Award.

Founder of Printmartz Advertising's (Printmartz), took home the Young Entrepreneur Award, whereas Datin Paduka Hjh Rokiah Hj Zakiah, President of Brunei's Women's Business Council and founder of Rokiah Nursing Consultants and Services (Rokiah Nursing) won the Women Entrepreneur Award. ABA was launched as an initiative of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council in 2007 to recognize enterprises that have contributed to the development of the region's economies while also promoting the ASEAN Economic Community.
