The Story-Telling Competition for Islamic stories organised by the Language and Literature Bureau aimed to expose religious stories and examples in Islam nationwide. The finals was held yesterday morning at the National Archive building at Jalan Dewan Majlis. The competition is an annual project of the Language and Literature Bureau and organised by the Library Section.
Muhammad Danial Adrianshah bin Abdul Muhaiminin from Selangan Primary School with the story entitled "Bilal bin Rabah" won the Malay Language category.
Meanwhile, Ashville Ariel Petrus from Saint Andrews emerged champion of the English Language Category with a story entitled 'The Emperor and The Seed'.
Prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Winners won 500 dollars cash, certificate and books published by the Language and Literature Bureau.
