500 saplings were planted at a 2 hundred hectare area this morning, through the Forest Re-planting Project as part of Hengyi Industries' commitment to a sustainable future and to inspire society to protect and preserve the environment.

Among those taking part in the planting of Penaga Laut saplings was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy, Manpower and Industry. Also taking part were Her Excellency Yu Hong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, Yang Berhormat Dayang Khairunnisa binti Awang Haji Ash'ari, member of the Legislative Council and the Chief Executive Officer of Hengyi Industries, Mr. Chen Lian Cai. The project contributes to the 'Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation Programme' under the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Conventions on Climate Change.
