The Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force has received a farewell call from the former Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force, RSAF. The call took place this afternoon. Brigadier General (Udara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sahat received Major General Mervyn Tan at the Royal Brunei Air Force Headquarters.

Shortly after arriving, Major General Mervyn Tan received the salute and inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by 52 personnel of the Royal Brunei Air Force led by Captain (Udara) Muhammad Wafiy bin Haji Muhammad Salleh.

Major General Mervyn Tan made a introductory visit to Brunei Darussalam on the 11th of October 2016, when he received the Honorary Pilot Wing of the Royal Brunei Air Force in appreciation of his excellent service, valuable efforts and contributions in fostering closer relations between the Royal Brunei Air Force and the Republic of Singapore Air Force, RSAF. He was succeeded by Brigadier General Kelvin Khong as the Chief of Staff of the RSAF on the 22nd of March 2019.
