The Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam today feted 10 students selected to participate in the Japan - East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths, JENESYS programme organised by Japan. The function took place at the embassy in Kampung Kiulap yesterday afternoon.

His Excellency, Motohiko Kato, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam hosted the students participating in the JENESYS2018, "the ASEAN+Timor-Leste Youth Leader Exchange" from the 18th to 26th of this month. During the programme the participants will attend lectures on Japanese politics, economy, society, culture and diplomatic relations. They will also visit a number of educational institutions and sites. Among other things, the programme provides the opportunity to gain experience and develop youth leaders who can solve the problems of ASEAN using Japan's Experiences and Technologies from the ASEAN perspective, in order to realise the action plans of Community Vision "ASEAN2025" over the coming 10 years.
