An effort to introduce the beauty of ethnic and uniqueness of arts as well as culture in the Tutong District to tourist is an initiative that needs to be intensified in order to produce the attractive tourism products. The effort is vital as it able to unite community of various ethnics and races as well as religions in one platform which is tourism. Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Wahab bin Apong, a member of the Legislative Council also urged that strategic places in the Tutong District can be made as the focal points or Visiting Activity centre involving the participation from various parties including the Village Consultative Council, Micro, small and medium enterprises and youths to showcase and sell their products. Yang Berhormat said the matter yesterday morning at the Arts and Culture Packages of the Tutong District Ethnic Launching ceremony.
The package is an added value to the Tutong Destination packages which are introduced since 2015. It is organised by the Tutong District Office, Tutong District's Tourism Coordinating and Promotion Body with the support of Tourism Development Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. The package also provides various visiting selections to the Tutong District with a concept of Arts and Culture. Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, member of the Legislative Council, Awang Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Tutong District Officer and Awang Haji Azmi bin Haji Abdul Rahim, Chairman of the Tutong Municipal Board as the Co-Chairman of the Arts and Culture Packages of the Tutong District Ethnic Launching ceremony.
