The Welfare Body of the Wives of Government Officials and Women Officials, BISTARI, has visited the Senior Citizens Activity Centre in Tutong. The 25-member delegation was led by Datin Hajah Asmah binti Haji Abdul Rahman, BISTARI Chairperson.

During the visit, the guests heard a briefing on the structural background and management of the centre and its activities since it was formed a year ago. The visitors also had the opportunity to watch a demonstration on making traditional food and delicacies, such as penyaram, rangin and tumpi which use sago and coconut as the main ingredients. Aside from the food-making demo, they also paid attention to the handicraft products made from recycled materials.

According to the BISTARI Chairperson, the purpose of the visit was to forge closer cooperation and understanding between the two sides, apart from exchanging views on the way the centre is managed.
