The Wakaf Ilmu or Knowledge Endowment Scheme introduced by the State Mufti Department in 2002 continues to receive good response in society as a platform to reap Allah's blessings in this world and the hereafter. Speaking at the launch of the book titled ''Ke Arah Kesempurnaan Ibadat Sembahyang'' and ''Wirid al-Lathif'' published by the State Mufti Department yesterday morning, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti said since the scheme was introduced until 2017 the donors totalled 709 with the endowed book valued at more than 89 thousand dollars. Yang Berhormat also explained that endowments brings lasting blessings to the donors.
Besides for domestic distribution, the book published by the State Mufti Department have also reached markets in the United Kingdom, South Korea, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. During the ceremony, 12 libraries and higher education institutes were selected to receive the books. The book 'Ke Arah Kesempurnaan Sembahyang' is a compilation from the guidance series titled 'Irsyad Hukum' from 1996-2016 and cost 8 dollars each. Meanwhile, the "Wirid Al-Lathif' contains wirid recitals by al-Quthub Al-Imam Barakah al-Anam Sayyid 'Abdullah bin 'Alwi bin Muhammad Ba'alawi Al-Haddad Al-Husaini Al-Hadhrami which were explained by Allahyarham Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Seri Utama Dr. Haji Awang Ismail bin Omar Abdul Aziz. The book cost 3 dollars each.
