A gambling activity was foiled in a raid conducted by the Royal Brunei Police Force of the Tutong District.
The raid, carried out at Number 4, PWD 80, Simpang 184-9A, Jalan Sungai Basong uncovered a Katam-Katam gambling activity. 10 men and 3 women were detained comprising 11 locals and 2 Indonesians, aged between 30 to 65.
The Police also found equipment used for gambling, including a katam cloth, dice box along with dices, several sets of playing cards and cash. All suspects and confiscated items were brought to the Tutong Police District Headquarters for further investigation and the case is investigated under the Open House Gambling Act, Chapter 28. Members of the public who have the information on any illegal activities are advised to report to nearby police station or contact hotline 993.
