42 youths taking part in the Youth Bus Programme continued their session to the Tutong district. The programme, organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in collaboration with Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Religious Affairs and the four District Offices. The programme is hoped to produce quality, excellent and productive youths.
While in the Tutong district, the participants had the opportunity to experience living in homestays and were exposed to entrepreneurship by conducting visits to several enterprises and cooperatives. This includes the Tanjong Maya Cooperative, KO-PERTAMA located in Kampung Tanjong Maya, a Virgin Coconut Oil product produced by Dayang Hajah Hasnah binti Haji Ibrahim and family and the production of items from wood pallets by Awang Sahat bin Haji Sabli.
In the afternoon, the participants attended a talk on the roles and functions of the Tutong District Office, which was delivered by Awang Haji Haizul Rizal bin Haji Yahya, Acting Assistant Tutong District Officer as a representative of the Tutong District Officer. The participants also had the opportunity to interact with Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Wahab bin Apong and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Ramli bin Haji Lahit, members of the Legislative Council.
