Ahmad Jamsari, a year 8 student of Jerudong International School (JIS) received a Gold Award in the prestigious UK Junior Mathematical Olympiad.

According to Rebecca Baker, Head of Mathematics Faculty, JIS is so proud of Ahmad for successfully achieving excellence in the world of Mathematics. Approximately 300 thousand students worldwide participated in this popular competition with the top 1200 students invited to partake in the next stage, the 'Junior Mathematical Olympiad'. Meanwhile Middle Year students at JIS entered the mathematics competition "Junior Challenge" involving all students in Year 7 and 8. The challenge included 25 multiple choice questions in 2 hours with the top 40% of students were presented with Gold, Silver or Bronze Awards according to their respective results.
