Treating residents of Pusat Al-Islah is not something that is easy as the nature and behaviour from drug use leaves huge damaging effects. Various treatment approaches and models have been used to provide guidance and awareness to these residents. This was among the matters touched by the Assistant Director of Pusat Al-Islah while speaking at a Memorandum of Understanding, MOU Signing ceremony between Pusat Al-Islah and Syarikat Sabli Group.
Awang Zainol Adi bin Haji Ajmain, who is also the Commandant of the Centre, added that the collaborative programme - Residents' Integration - by Syarikat Sabli Group provides employment opportunities not only to the centre's residents, but also to individuals under supervision. Assistance such as this helps to make them feel appreciated and cared for, and not feel burdened under social stigma.
Among those present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid @ Haji Sabli bin Haji Arshad, member of the Legislative Council as the Chairman of Syarikat Sabli Group and Awang Haji Mohd Jafari bin Awang Haji Mahadi, Acting Director of the Narcotics Control Bureau. Signing the MOU on behalf of the centre was the Director of Pusat Al-Islah, while Syarikat Sabli Group was represented by Awang Jasmadi bin Haji Jamudin, General Manager of the group.
