To empower family education and identify issues as well as challenges in family life, the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB has organised the International Mu’tamar of Fiqh Al- Usrah, Muafiq. The function took place yesterday morning in conjunction with the National Family Day Celebration.
The ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri AWANG Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The prime paper titled ‘Keluarga Sakinah Mawaddah Warahmah’, was presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, the Chief Syari’e Judge. The prime paper presentation explained that in strengthening a family institution, every individual and society play a vital role in shaping harmony and well-being of a family, in line with the Malay Islamic Concept as the foundation to build a family.
Local and abroad lecturers also presented the main paper and working paper. Through the Mu’tamar, it is hoped to achieve a short and long term solution towards the social issues faced by the community towards a harmonious family life.
