Lucas highlighted the strategic placement of these personnel across key locations such as tourist spots, transportation hubs, places of worship, and residential areas to deter crime and ensure prompt responses to any emergencies.

The initiative underscores the importance of collaboration between the police force, government agencies, and civil society in maintaining peace and security. Lucas stressed that the safety of both residents and visitors is the paramount concern, especially during significant times like Holy Week and the summer holidays. Efforts to create a secure and peaceful environment are reinforced by encouraging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to authorities.

Lucas also pointed out the establishment of an inter-agency coordination effort among the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Tourism, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and local government units to address security challenges in a unified manner.

Furthering safety measures, law enforcement and regulatory agencies conducted a joint inspection at the Turbina Integrated Terminal in Calamba City, aiming to ensure safe travel for commuters. Lt. Col. Milany Martirez, acting chief of the Calamba City Police Station, mentioned that the inspection focused on compliance with franchise regulations, vehicle maintenance, road safety, and the health condition of transport workers. A surprise spot drug test was also carried out among drivers and conductors to prevent health-related travel disruptions, with positive cases subject to confirmatory tests and interventions.

This extensive security and safety operation reflects the committed effort to safeguard the well-being of the public during peak travel periods, ensuring that the Holy Week and summer vacations can be enjoyed without incident.
