A fire broke out yesterday morning at the CIC Environmental Services Sendirian Berhad in Kuala Belait, injuring one local man. The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 1:24 in the morning.
The building fire involved Class 3 hazardous materials namely flammable liquids that are no longer used for recycling and waste oil treatment purposes. The fire was contained in 5 hours 30 minutes, and the operation involved 44 personnel from various agencies. The victim who sustained injuries on the face and hands were rushed to the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital for treatment.
