The 6th Exposure Programme for Youth with the Potential to enter the field of high-tech agriculture organised by the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood aimed to expose agricultural enterprises as a profitable business. The programme was introduced in 2018 and since then, 5 series were launched involving more than 80 youth.
The programme is one of the department’s initiatives in supporting the Strategic Plan of the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood 2016-2022, to increase the output of the agricultural sector. The participants comprised of youth aged between 18 and 45 who are interested to venture in agriculture, including local and overseas graduates. The programme is divided into briefing sessions and visits to the farms of local entrepreneurs, focussing on several production systems and technologies.
