Adhere to Guidelines

The public is reminded not to get too excited following the easing of control measures during the Transition Phase. The Minister of Health stressed that this is due to the current COVID-19 situation.

According to Yang Berhormat, despite having completed the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination, the public is still required to adhere to the guidelines and maintain SOPs. Leaving the house only if necessary for a specific reason and for those who wishes to have a mass gathering, it is recommended to conduct the Antigen Rapid Test. The Transition Phase must go well in order to move on to the next phase.

The Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy underlined that accommodation at hotels is only allowed for those who have been fully vaccinated. It aims to control the situation so that there is no increase in cases which will affect the country’s efforts to move into the endemic phase.

In the meantime, the Minister of Home Affairs emphasised that the Transition Phase does not mean that the country is free from COVID-19, but it requires the responsibility of all parties to start life as normal in a state that is still under control.
