9 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed, taking the total cases to 15,385. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.
Out of the new cases, 8 are local cases and 1 is an import case. The figure was the result of 3,445 laboratory tests conducted in the past 24 hours. Therefore, the rate of positive case was 0.3 per cent. 1 case is in Category 5 requiring assistance of artificial ventilation and treated at the Intensive Care Unit. Meanwhile, no deaths associated with COVID-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours.
16 cases have recovered, bringing the total recovered cases to 15,074 cases, and the total active cases are 211. Bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 4.7 per cent.
