The Department of Immigration and National Registration, Ministry of Home Affairs has extended the operating hours of the service counters in the Travel Documents Division starting yesterday. According to the Acting Director of Immigration and National Registration, several initiatives to improve the smoothness of the registration process and collection of travel documents were also implemented.
Awang Haji Azmi bin Haji Rahim said that from Mondays to Thursdays and Saturday, it is open from 7 in the morning to 7 in the evening. Special services for senior citizens is on the Third Floor, Department of Immigration and National Registration Headquarters from 8 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon. Collection of Travel Documents has moved to Ground Floor, Law Enforcement Division.
The public is reminded to fill the application form in advance and bring the relevant documents required to further smoothen the registration process. The public are also advised not to come too early to get their respective queue numbers and to follow the instructions given.
