The Second Dose Vaccine Injection Increases Immunity

The interval between the first and second vaccine injections is between 28 to 84 days depending on the type of vaccine. According to the Minister of Health if the period has expired, this will raise concerns on whether the second dose will have the desired effect.

 

According to studies, a second dose vaccine injection will be able to boost a person’s immunity. However, if it does not, there is a large possibility that the individual will need to be revaccinated.

 

Regarding the senior citizens who need to have their health records checked with doctors at clinics, the Minister of Health explained that every vaccination center have designated doctors to assess the senior citizens’ health condition before being administered with the vaccine injections.

 

The Minister of Health added that the Delta variant may infect people regardless of age. What is important is to adhere to the directives issued by the government, by wearing face mask, practice social distancing and staying at home.

 

The Minister of Health also explained on the viral recording making its rounds on social media. According to Yang Berhormat, more than 5 hundred village residents at the area have been brought to undergo swab tests due to the large number of COVID-19 positive cases there.
