WASHINGTON—A recent survey conducted by US News Ipsos shows that American opinions are split regarding the level of support the U.S. should provide to Israel amid its ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip. The poll, conducted from April 25 to April 30, included 2,260 English and Spanish-speaking adults selected randomly from the Internet at the national level.

According to Philippines News Agency, 38 percent of respondents believe the U.S. is doing too much to support Israel, while 20 percent think the U.S. provides too little support, and 40 percent feel that the current level of support is about right. Additionally, the survey highlighted a preference for former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden in handling the issue, with 37 percent trusting Trump more compared to 29 percent for Biden. A notable 33 percent of participants stated they did not trust either leader on this issue, with 1 percent not expressing an opinion.
