Two groups comprising students from Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College emerged as Stem project winners in the 'Community and School' category in conjunction with the Southeast Asia Stem Fair and Exposition 2023 organised by the Seameo Stem-Ed Regional Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
The first group, with their 'Pigeons Problem' project also received 'The Most Interesting Project' award during the competition. Meanwhile, the second group took the prize with their 'Bird Problems in MSPSBS' project.
Through the competition, both groups have succeeded in producing posters, reports and videos that highlight the issue of pollution caused by wild birds in the school buildings and find solutions through Stem methods. The competition among others aimed to enhance students' skills in problem solving by using science, technology, engineering and mathematics, Stem skills.
