Shaping Future Ready Students

Before approving the allocation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the council deliberated and reviewed several questions raised by members of the Legislative Council. The morning session also heard an introduction on the proposed allocation for the Ministry of Education and the departments under it, totaling more than seven hundred and ninety-seven million dollars. In the presentation, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education outlined the Ministry of Education’s priority which is not only to produce a high quality education system, but also strives towards shaping future ready students.

According to the Minister, first is continuing efforts related to strengthening the implementation of the Learning Recovery Programme. Second, to continue efforts related to strengthening the Learning Support Programme. Third, continuing efforts in the formation of noble moral character among students inline with the Malay Islamic Monarchy, MIB philosophy. Fourth, strengthen bilateral cooperation in the development of student compensation through memorandums of understanding with agencies and foreign educational and training institutions. Fifth, diversifying Upskilling and Reskilling courses and programmes and sixth, implementing programmes offered through collaborations with local industrial companies.
