List of Domestic Runners Will Be Uploaded

To facilitate the registration processes, the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications will open an online registration for domestic runners through the website at www.mtic.gov.bn.pendaftaran starting yesterday, the 2nd of October 2021 and registration is free of charge. Information needed for registration are their Full Name, Smart Identity Card Number, Mobile Telephone Number, Home Address, Email and Car Registration Number. Those who are working under registered companies are required to provide the names of their respective companies. Their BruHims number and vaccination status are also needed for the registration.

The Minister of Transport and Infocommunications informed that in order to complete the registration process, domestic runners are also required to make several declarations stating that they are conducting the domestic runners services and will abide by the regulations and guidelines set under the Infectious Diseases Act, Chapter 204 as well as other related regulations enforced in Brunei Darussalam. Yang Berhormat added that after the registration process is complete, an e-notification will be emailed to the runner.

The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications will also upload the list of registered domestic runners on the MTIC's website as a directory that contains the contact details of domestic runners in the country for the use of business sectors and the public. In this regard, Yang Berhormat said that the support and role of every domestic runner and parties concerned including the public are highly expected to respect the strategies and measures implemented in curbing the COVID-19 outbreak specifically during the Recovery Operation.

These include, arranging delivery plans and completing tasks before 8 in the evening. Domestic runners are advised and urged to always be prepared with the registration of domestic runners e-notification issued by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications as well as any proof of transaction such as orders by the employer and delivery negotiations with customers through Whatsapp application, Email or any other methods. The registration of domestic runners is a joint effort conducted by the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications as well as the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry, AITI.
