The theme, 'Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth' is relevant and beneficial to youth dialogue, as countries and governments around the world face an uncertain post-pandemic period with global instability, natural disasters and other disruptions that threaten recovery and global economic growth. The Attorney General as Chairman of International School Brunei, ISB's Board of Directors shared the matter during the Launching Ceremony of the 19th ISB Borneo Global Issues Conference.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmad bin Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Di-Raja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Isa said, aspirations for a better future with global prosperity and strong economic growth lie in the hands of younger generation because they are future industry leaders and innovative workforce in the future. The conference began with keynote speeches on the conference's theme, 'Good Jobs and Economic Growth' delivered by two guest speakers. Participating by 300 delegates from 23 schools across Borneo, the conference is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and ISB. The conference is held until this Monday.
