In building greater awareness of contribution made by radiology to safe patient care and improving understanding of the vital role radiologists, radiographers and X-ray technicians play in the healthcare continuum, yesterday the International Day of Radiology was held at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital.
Themed ‘Radiologists and Radiographers supporting Patients’, the celebration among other matters aimed to raise awareness on early detection of diseases with better treatments for patients. On 12th October 2022, the ‘Radiology Picture Archiving and Communications’ System, was launched to enhance improving the efficiency and quality of overall healthcare delivery to patients, through the digital storage of medical images which can be easily accessed by medical professionals. In conjunction with the celebration, several activities have been lined up among them online lectures, a poster exhibition and an interactive quiz.
