The Narcotics Control Bureau through the Preventive Drug Education Programme held the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2022. 'Cegah Bersama, Negara Bahagia' is the national theme for the celebration that acts as a reminder to all levels of society in the country to be equally responsible in combatting and preventing drug activities.
The celebration was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office. The launch of a video clip titled 'TEKAD BIRO KAWALAN NARKOTIK' aimed to build courage among the Narcotics Control Bureau staff in carrying out their daily tasks. Meanwhile, a video clip titled 'ADANG TAH' is hoped to bring major impact to youths to avoid drugs. The celebration also included exhibitions to raise awareness to the public on danger and harmful effects of drugs, as well as colouring activities and anti-drug quizzes.
