Future-Ready Youth, Realising Wawasan Brunei 2035

Brunei Darussalam needs future ready youth to help realize the Wawasan Brunei 2035. In order to achieve that desire, youth need to have a noble identity and character, be positive and be able to shape the country's future, in line with the goals of the National Youth Policy. The determination of the youth to equip themselves as outstanding youth is featured in a special report in conjunction with the 39th National Day Celebration.

As potential leaders of the future, youth need to prepare themselves with various skills, including being innovative and creative, always thinking positively and having a noble identity and character. This is in line with the National Youth Policy for the youth to move fast to improve their knowledge and skills in order to contribute to the development of the country including education. According to Yang Berhormat Chong Chin Yee, a successful youth entrepreneurs who is listed as '30 People to watch in the Business Law of Asia Awards 2020', aside from education, youth also need to prioritize the field of entrepreneurship. Yang Berhormat also said that entrepreneurship can develop various skills, such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration and communication. Entrepreneurship requires identifying and solving problems in an innovative way. Apart from that, entrepreneurship can also help youth improve their financial literacy so that they are better prepared to overcome personal and professional financial challenges in the future.

While the Co-Founder of the Bina Ukhwah Project, Pengiran Haji Ahmad Fadillah Akhbar bin Pengiran Haji Sellahhuddin, said that youth need to be tenacious and brave in responding to any challenge, especially in helping the community and contributing new ideas that can help improve the socio-economic development of the country. He said that youth who are brave to take challenges positively are those able to transform the development landscape of Brunei Darussalam to better compete with other developed countries.

In order for the country to develop rapidly, the youth need to be empowered so that they can become world-class individuals, future ready and agents of transformation who can give new life to all national development efforts.
