Address Challenges of Increasing Revenue

The first meeting of the 19th Legislative Council Session starts today with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al- Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in a titah consenting for Brunei Darussalam to be the Host for the ASEAN Centre For Climate Change, as the country's commitment towards Climate Change.

In the titah in conjunction with the Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the 19th Session of the Legislative Council, yesterday morning, His Majesty also emphasises several matters, among them, the challenge to increase Government revenue, the issue of unemployment, efforts to empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises as well as the National Retirement Scheme.

His Majesty began the titah by expressing gratitude towards Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for being able to be together at the Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the 19th Session of the Legislative Council.
