Cardiovascular Diseases among Young People are increasing

Healthy lifestyle practices and regular exercise can help improve heart health. The risk of cardiovascular disease including heart disease can also be reduced through good sleep quality and mental health.

Cardiovascular diseases are divided into several types. Among them, coronary heart disease which is the main killer in all cardiovascular diseases and stroke. To address the coronary heart disease, the country is not left behind in using the latest treatment through the Gleneagles JPMC Cardiac Centre, which specializes in treating cardiovascular diseases.

According to Deputy Director of Cardiac Surgery, Gleaneagles JPMC, what is concerning at the moment, is the increase in cardiovascular disease among young people. This may be due to the intake of ‘anabolic steroids’ and ‘vaping’ among young people.

Meanwhile, one of the heart disease patients advised the public not to take it easy or think the body is always healthy, instead change the way of life before getting a heart attack. According to him, the pain caused by a heart attack is very difficult to describe.

In conjunction with World Heart Day this year, all parties play a role in contributing to positive changes in the lives and people around, especially family members towards healthier choices and behaviours.
