Allied Health Professions Symposium 2023 Focuses on ‘Healthy Ageing’ Amid Rising Elderly Population in Brunei

BRUNEI DARUSSALAM - The country's growing elderly population was the focal point at the Allied Health Professions, AHP, Symposium 2023 held on the morning of 22nd October at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

According to a new release by Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, spoke about the physiological changes and complex health issues that accompany ageing. He also indicated the Ministry's commitment to transform the AHP into a highly specialized workforce through clinical training.

The theme of the one-day symposium was 'Healthy Ageing,' and it served as a platform for Allied Health Professionals to discuss the impact they have in delivering high-quality care, especially to the elderly. The event brought together consultants, health practitioners, health care workers, and professional experts with the aim of enhancing well-being among the elderly population.
