Matters of mutual interest between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia, including trade, investment opportunities and food security were discussed during a farewell visit of His Excellency Dr. Sujatmiko, the outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam to Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council. The event took place at the Dewan Majlis Building, Department of Councils.
During the Farewell Visit, both sides also expressed their appreciation on the bilateral relations between both countries and cherished the good cooperation throughout His Excellency's tenure as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Brunei Darussalam.
Speaker of the Legislative Council also received a Courtesy Visit from His Excellency Retired Major General Farhat Abbas Sani, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam. During the meeting, both sides hoped that cooperative relationship will continue to grow and be further strengthened through collaborations in existing and future fields. Also present was Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers' Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council.
