Individuals with fever even if they are not linked to a positive case are required to undergo a swab test. The Minister of Health was answering a query on whether the country’s infection trend has continued to decline.

 

Yang Berhormat added, the number of cases depends on the swab tests taken and the number of infection is likely to increase in the next few days, although the number has declined yesterday.

 

Speaking on the increase of electricity consumption, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy explained that the Department of Electrical Services has no plan to give payment discount as the electricity prices in the country are highly subsidised.

Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 Situation

76 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Brunei Darussalam yesterday, bringing the total cases to 2,641. This was stated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation at Dewan Al ‘Afiah, Ministry of Health. Joining the media conference was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.

 

Yesterday, one new cluster has been detected that brings the total number of active clusters to 46 clusters. This new cluster is Cluster 1848 that contains 14 cases where 4 of these cases are newly detected yesterday while the rest are cases that have been reported previously as cases whose source of infection have not been identified. There are 27 additional new cases to 7 of the existing active clusters. The cases in these active clusters are individuals who are currently being quarantined and were found to be in contact with several confirmed cases. Meanwhile, 45 cases are still being investigated to determine the source of the infection. Contact tracing for all these new cases is currently undergoing. All identified close contacts are required to undergo mandatory quarantine and RT-PCR SARS-Co-V-2 test.

 

111 cases have recovered yesterday bringing the total of recovered cases to 836 cases. This means currently, there is a total of 1 thousand 794 active cases in Brunei Darussalam. Among the active cases, seven cases are in critical condition, where six cases require assistance of artificial ventilation. Meanwhile, one case still requires the help of an additional heart/lung machine, ECMO. Meanwhile, 33 cases that were categorised in Category 4 are now admitted at the Intensive Care Unit for close monitoring.  In the past 24 hours, a total of 1,811 samples have been tested for the SARS-Co-V-2 virus which brings the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 228,841 tests.

CNH Industrial signs agreement to acquire excavator manufacturer Sampierana S.p.A

With this acquisition, the Company will enhance its offering in the construction segment, gaining greater in-house capabilities, control over the value chain, and market share opportunities.

CNH Industrial N.V. (NYSE: CNHI / MI: CNHI) announces the execution of an agreement to purchase 90% of the capital stock of Sampierana S.p.A., a privately-owned Italian company that specializes in the development, manufacturing and commercialization of earthmoving machines, undercarriages and spare parts, and to obtain 100% control of the company over four years following closing of the transaction.

The debt and cash free consideration for the total transaction will be equal to €101.8 million subject to certain closing and post-closing adjustments. The consideration will be funded with available cash on hand of CNH Industrial. Closing is expected to occur in the fourth quarter of 2021, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
