His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam will leave for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which will begin on 9th April 2023.
Brunei Darussalam and Saudi Arabia enjoy warm and long-standing relations since its establishment on 1st July 1987, which include cooperation in the fields of religious affairs; Hajj and Umrah; visa arrangements; economy and energy. The close relations can be seen through a series of past visits, among other things, the State Visit of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to Saudi Arabia in January 1999 and His Majesty last visited Saudi Arabia in May 2017 to attend the Arab Islamic - American Summit which was hosted by the country. Meanwhile, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and King of Saudi Arabia also visited Brunei Darussalam in March 2017.
