Senior Citizens Honored at Rural Level Ceremony in Belait District

Belait: To appreciate the services of the senior citizens, the Mukim Bukit Sawat Consultative Council, Belait District held a ceremony to celebrate the Rural Level Senior Citizens Day. The ceremony took place at the Kampung Sungai Mau Multipurpose Hall.

According to Radio Television Brunei, 245 senior citizens from three rural mukims in the Belait District, namely Mukim Bukit Sawat, Mukim Sukang, and Mukim Melilas, as well as invited senior citizens, were celebrated in a ceremony that was also held in conjunction with the World Senior Citizen’s Day Celebration. Present were Awang Muhammad Faiq bin Haji Rani, Acting Belait District Officer, and Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Md. Salleh bin Haji Othman, Member of the Legislative Council. The ceremony included the presentation of souvenirs and special awards for senior citizens.
