The Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, plays a role as the sole religious teaching institution in Brunei Darussalam, the provider of the correct and effective mould to develop the Islamic teaching and education aspects towards producing figures who are not only knowledgeable but becoming educators who are truly educated. To further enliven the 28th Teachers Day celebration, KUPU SB yesterday morning held a Regional Education Discussion session.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. Several overseas speakers shared the discussion’s theme of 21st Century Teaching Education and Technology 4 point zero in the context of the respective countries and institutions. The session acts as a platform to provide regional higher teaching institutions with collaboration opportunities to enhance the system, administration and management of teaching education and at the same time achieving the vision, mission and objective formed by every institution. It is also held to discuss teaching challenges and issues as well as technological developments in the context of education system, teaching and teachers. Also present were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; Profesor Dato’ Dr. Mohammad Shatar Sabran, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Perguruan Sultan Idris, Malaysia; Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religious at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Dr. Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, Acting Ra’es of KUPU SB.
