Meanwhile, Year 6 students placed at the Maktab Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Hostel who will sit for the PSR examinations are undertaking various programmes to further strengthen their exam preparations. Apart from lessons in school, the students also attend evening classes to further enhance their capabilities and achievements.
The evening classes are held every Monday to Thursday. The teaching workforce comprise of officers and teachers from the Schools Department, Ministry of Education and Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs. Meanwhile, extra classes at the school are also held every Friday. Various initiatives to strengthen literacy and numeracy are also carried out to assess the students’ progress. Results of the Check Point Assessment, CPA, shows a number of progress achieved by the students. Among them, the students’ daily attendance in school. Self-discipline from the aspect of a systematic study method, self-identity and noble characteristic values. Apart from that various strategies have also been organised to further strengthen the students’ performance especially in Mathematics, Science and English Language.
Diligence without fail. That is among the thoughts of the students in order to achieve success with ambition and determination in hand. Let’s hope their efforts will result in them passing their exams with flying colours.
