PSR Examination Rescheduled To 15 November 2021

 

The Ministry of Education will continue to refer and consult with the CAIE, in line with the needs that should be taken into account in the current COVID-19 situation. Meanwhile for ‘AS’ level, the Minister of Education explained that candidates who have registered for the October/November 2021 will be arranged to sit for the May/June 2022 session.

 

For private candidates who will sit for the BC GCE ‘O’, ‘AS’, ‘A’ Level and IGCSE for the October/November 2021 session, their registration will be changed to the May/June 2022 session. However, private candidates are allowed to withdraw completely from the October/November 2021 examination without being re-registered for the May/June 2022 session.

 

Meanwhile, the Primary School Assessment, PSR examination has been rescheduled to Monday, 15th of November 2021. This is also subject to the COVID-19 situation. The School Progress Examination, SPE that is usually conducted at schools will be replaced with the School Based Assessment comprising marks assessment throughout Year 7 and 8. Total marks assessment can be utilised by schools to channel students to Year 9, whether they will enter the General Secondary Education Programme or the Applied Secondary Education Programme.
