The Politeknik Brunei, representing Brunei Darussalam, achieved a new national record for prototype category in first ever virtual Eco-Marathon Asia Off-Track Awards. Due to the current situation, there is no physical competition for this year, however, the team has done tremendously well yet again and received an honourable mention in the vehicle design award for their continuous improvement. The launching ceremony took place at the Politeknik Brunei, Jalan Ong Sum Ping in the capital.
Awang Alias Bin Haji Abu Bakar, the Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei said that the team comprising of all female participants has achieved excellent through hard work and teamwork.
The Yakin 4 is an ultra-energy efficient vehicle in the prototype battery electric category led by the team leader Dayang Siti Zafirah Zawani Binti Idris. Shell Eco-Marathon is a competition for students who are passionate about developing innovative mobility solution.
